NU Pup Joint is a short pipe component with flat threads at both ends (i.e. without thickened threads), mainly used to connect tubing, casing, or downhole tools of the same or variable diameter. Its core feature is that the threaded end has not been thickened (different from the EUE thickened type), so the wall thickness is uniform and suitable for medium and low pressure environments
Structural characteristics
Flat thread design: The thread profile is a 60 ° dome shaped triangular base with a taper of 1:16, and sealing is achieved through interference fit on the side of the thread.
Lightweight: Due to the lack of thickening treatment, the overall weight is lighter and the cost is lower than EUE type.
Connection form: divided into double male threads (external threads at both ends) or a combination of male and female threads, supporting quick screwing
